Will the Russian drought continue to influence US markets?
Commodity market traders and farmers have been watching China gobble up US beans and push soybean prices higher in the past several years. For a longer period the market and farmers have watched the increasing grain and soybean production in South America to the point that we know it all too well. But while the Southern Hemisphere and China have been high on the radar screen, flying under the radar has been the Former Soviet Union as a player in the world grain markets. Just about forgotten about that part of the world hadn’t you!
